At Christopher George we don’t just sell you something and leave it there, we are here to offer advice before you buy something and provide you with aftersales service once you have, even if you didn’t buy the item from us!

As well as the repairs we carry out in store we also provide the following services:

• Insurance valutions – You can either leave your valuables with us and one of our in store valuers will carry out a comprehensive valuation, which will include a full description including weights, measurements and assesments, and detailed digital pictures. Or you can come along to one of our in store valuation day events and on top of our standard valuation service you will get your items valued while you are in the store, and all items will be listed on a special database, which will save time with insurance companies in the event of a claim, and may help the police return lost or stolen items to you.
• Gemstone identification – If you have an unknown gemstone, either in a piece of jewellery or loose, our in store gemmologist can identify the stone for you. We are also able to give opinions on whether or not a stone has been treated.
• Diamond & gemstone certification – We can get your diamonds and precious stones certified at an internationally recognised laboratory.
• Diamond & gemstone supply – We are able to sell you loose diamonds and gemstones either to take away unset or we can help you make them into a piece of jewellery.
• Pearl and bead restringing – We use a family run company of stringers who are based in London’s Hatton Garden, and who have been doing it for over 100 years, to carry out all our stringing work including our own pearls and beads.
• Hand and seal engraving – Those special gifts can be hand engraved with a personal message by our skilled engraver, or we can produce a signet ring in either gold or hard stone with your family seal engraved in it.
• Insurance – We can provide you with comprehensive insurance cover for your precious purchases giving you a full replacement or repair with us in the event of loss or damage. Our MarchGuard insurance is provided by T H March.
